*"Compton Edge Testing of the Light Speed Anisotropy/Lorentz
Invariance: GRAAL/ESRF Lessons"*
*
V.Gurzadyan, Yerevan Physics Institute*
The measurement of the Compton edge of the scattered high energy
electrons of synchrotrons on monochromatic laser beams can provide
efficient tests for the light speed isotropy and the Lorentz invariance
violation limits. This method has been already elaborated at GRAAL
collaboration at European Synchrotron Radiation Facility (ESRF) in
Grenoble, enabling to obtain a limit, which is currently a reference
value for theoretical models. The recent indications of the dark energy
in the Universe and increased interest in the cosmological models with
varying physical constants, including of the speed of light, violation
of the Lorentz invariance, ensure the profound interest for further
tests of these basic physical principles.
