Based on the theoretical analysis of therecent experimental data on
short-range correlation effects in nucleiwe suggest the existence oftwo
new properties for high momentum distribution of nucleons in asymmetric
nuclei. The *first *observationis the prediction for theexistence of the
approximate scaling relation between proton and neutron high momentum
distributions weighed by their relative fractions and the *second*is the
inverse proportionality of the strengthof the high momentum
distributions of nucleons to their relative fractions. These predictions
agree well with thehigh momentum properties of light nuclei. However the
most surprising results we obtained are for heavy nuclei: for example we
predict that in the Gold the relative fraction ofhigh momentum
protonsexceeds the neuron relative fraction by almost 50%.

We will discuss the implication of these observations for different
phenomena innuclear physics, including EMC effects, NuTeV anomaly, Parity
Violating DIS Scatteringfrom Nuclei as well as several properties of
Neutron Stars.
