AFFECT INVENTORS AT JLAB*

When the America Invents Act goes into effect on March 16, it will 
introduce fundamental changes to the U.S. patent system. Michael 
Badagliacca, DOE Patent Office, will discuss how these changes will 
impact inventors at Jefferson Lab.He will discuss the America Invents 
Act, specifically address how the conversion from a "first to invent" to 
a "first to file" system will affect future patents, and answer 
questions on the New Act. All members of the JLab community interested 
in learning more about the America Invents Act and its new provisions 
are invited to attend.

Just before the seminar, Jefferson Lab management and Technology Review 
Committee members will take a few minutes to give "Bright Ideas" 
recognition to lab staff that made patent disclosures of new 
Intellectual Property in 2012.
