Light scalar and vector particle extensions of the Standard Model.
Abstract:
A systematic search for new light weakly coupled particles has become an important
component of particle and nuclear physics. While much attention in recent years has
been given to the case of "dark photon", there are many other extensions of the
Standard Model that one can consider, especially in the scalar sector. I will go
over several such physics cases, emphasizing the possibility of novel experimental
tests. I will pay special attention to models that can be probed via the
search of the multi-photon final states, reconstructing to a specific invariant mass,
which could be of interest in connection with the JLab physics program.
