*Progress in Strong Coupling QCD*
This talk is subtitled "Schwinger-Dyson studies for beginners". Progress
over decades in learning about
strong coupling QCD is the background to this talk. However, QED is far
easier to understand and will be
discussed as a guide to a consistent strong coupling truncation of the
infinity of Schwinger-Dyson equations.
Every step leads to new issues and new problems. Nevertheless, this
approach to strong coupling field theory
naturally embraces quark masses from zero to top, naturally encodes
chiral symmetry breaking and continuously
connects asymptotic freedom to confinement.
