*“In-medium properties of hadrons from photon- and proton- induced 
nuclear reactions”*

*Abstract:*

**

/The in-medium properties of mesons and their interactions with nuclei 
are an important testing ground for our understanding of QCD as the 
theory of strong interactions in the non-perturbative regime. 
Theoretical predictions for in-medium modification of mesons are 
confronted with experimental data. The talk gives an overview over 
recent experimental results from photon- and proton- induced nuclear 
reactions. Experimental approaches and results on selected pseudoscalar 
and light vector mesons and the search for meson-nucleus bound states 
will be presented. Open issues will be discussed and an outlook on 
future experimental programs will be given./
