*Hadron Structure from the Feynman-Hellmann Theorem in Lattice QCD

*Alexander Chambers
University of Adelaide

There has been much experimental, theoretical and computational effort
expended in developing
our understanding of the internal structure of hadrons. Despite this
there are many aspects that
remain to be fully understood. The exact nature of the spin
decomposition of the nucleon is still
unknown, as is the behaviour of electromagnetic form factors of the pion
and nucleon at higher
momentum transfers.

From a lattice perspective problems arise in calculations of these
quantities because of difficulties
accessing "disconnected" contributions to matrix elements, and poor
signal-to-noise ratios associated
with boosted hadron states.

In this talk I will discuss results obtained from an alternative lattice
methodology motivated by the
Feynman-Hellmann theorem.
