*Few-Body Systems in QCD: From Spectroscopy to Structure *

The nonperturbative nature of quantum chromodynamics (QCD) has
historically left a gap in our
understanding of the connection between the fundamental theory of the
strong interactions and
the rich structure of experimentally observed phenomena. For the
simplest properties of stable hadrons,
this is now circumvented by utilizing lattice QCD (LQCD). In this talk I
discuss a path that will allow us
to access a variety of previously unexplored observables, directly from
the underlying theory. As a proof
of principle, I will present recent results in the light-mesonic sector
that put these ideas to the test. I will
further discuss how this framework will allow us to study a variety of
reactions of interest in the 12GeV
era of JLab and will thus compliment the understanding of QCD being
established experimentally.
