A public lecture and book signing

by
Hans Christian von Baeyer
Chancellor Professor of Physics, emeritus
College of William and Mary
Measured by the accuracy of its predictions and the scope of its
applications, quantum mechanics is arguably the most successful theory
in science, yet its deeper meaning remains controversial almost a
century after its birth. QBism, a new interpretation of the old theory,
provides a way out of many of its paradoxes and puzzles. QBism refutes
Einstein’s objection to what he called the “spooky” nature of the
conventional interpretation, and offers profound implications for how we
understand and interact with the world. The non-mathematical lecture is
addressed to the general public. All are welcome!
