Dear Colleagues-
The Lattice/Effective Field Theory (L/EFT) group at Duke University
plans to hire
a postdoctoral researcher working in nuclear/particle theory starting in
Fall 2018.
The advertisement for the job is attached below. Please encourage your
students and postdocs who are qualified to apply for this position.
Applications should be received by Dec 1, 2017.
Sincerely,
Tom Mehen
The Lattice and Effective Field Theory (L/EFT) group in the Physics
Department at Duke University invites applications for a postdoctoral
research associate position starting September 1, 2018. Applicants
should have received a Ph.D. in physics before the start date and have
expertise in a research area of interest to the group. Topics of
interest include but are not limited to: Soft-Collinear Effective Theory
(SCET), lattice field theories, quantum chromodynamics, and applications
of EFT to nuclear and high energy physics. The position is partially
supported by funding from the TMD collaboration which focuses on the
theory and phenomenology of transverse momentum dependent parton
distribution functions and fragmentation functions. The applicant should
be willing to devote part of his/her research effort to projects
relevant to the TMD collaboration.
Applications must include a CV, a list of publications and talks, and
three letters of recommendation. Applications that are uploaded online
