Nuclear models effect on long baseline neutrino experiment and how electron scattering can help
Abstract:
Neutrino-nucleus cross section are as today the main source of systematic uncertainties for oscillation experiments together with nuclear model effects. Despite various studies and recent improvements future experiment like DUNE would require high precision to be able to measure the CP violating phase. I will review the neutrino-nucleus effects on the determination of neutrino oscillation parameters and I will show a possible path forward to build a consistent nuclear model that can describe neutrino-nucleus interactions on a variety of kinematic regions using electron scattering data. I will also present some results from a recent experiment that took (e,e'p) data on an argon and titanium targets at Jefferson labs.
