Title: “Study of TMDs in Semi-inclusive DIS with Transversely
Polarized Targets” </font><br>
<br>
Abstract: In this talk I will present the results of 6 GeV Hall-A
transversity experiment (E06-010). This experiment measured the
single spin asymmetries (SSA) for charged hadrons using the
polarized 3He target in the semi-inclusive deep inelastic reaction
in the valence-x region. I will also discuss plans for future
experiments to perform precision measurement of transverse
momentum dependent parton distribution function (TMDs) using
polarized targets and the proposed SoLID device in Hall-A. These
experiments will cover much wider kinematics in four dimensions
(x,Q<span style="display:inline-block;overflow:hidden">^</span>2,p_T,z)
which is crucial for a more complete understanding of nucleon spin
structure.</span>
