Multi-Hadron Effects in Light Hadronic Physics
In the past decade the lattice QCD community began calculating the properties of hadronic resonances. I will present our recent work on the P-wave scattering of two pions in the I=1 channel where the rho resonance resides and discuss the insights that can be obtained from such lattice calculations. The results are particularly interesting as recent theoretical developments in calculating 1 -> 2 transition matrix elements link these results to the rho photoproduction (pi gamma -> pi pi) calculations, and I will discuss the on-going work on our calculations for the rho photoproduction to complete the loop from the lattice side.
