      I discuss two topics: 1) how the axial U_A(1) anomaly affects

      flavor mixing in mesons with spin<br>

      two and higher; and 2) how the appearance of tetraquarks can lead

      to dramatic effects for the <br>

      chiral transition with three (but not two) light flavors. </div>
