Nuclei consist of nucleons, and nucleon binding and interactions determine the</div>

properties of nuclei as well as the dynamics of nuclear reactions. Scattering experiments</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
have played a crucial role in exploring the structure of nucleons. However, protons and</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
neutrons, nucleons, are not fundamental particles but are composed of quarks bound</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
by the exchange of gluons. High energy electron-beam and sophisticated spectrometers</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
serve as microscopes for investigating the core of matter, where the quarks and gluons</div>

come together to build nucleons.</div>

Jefferson Lab’s Linac provides high-intensity continuous electron beams up to 12</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
GeV to different halls. The electron beam is then impinged on the target, and the</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
scattered particles are detected using different spectrometers. The SBS program in</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
Hall A utilizes dual-arm spectrometers to study the electromagnetic form factors of</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
protons and neutrons by detecting the elastically scattered electrons and nucleons.</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
Moreover, the CLAS12 spectrometer in Hall B has a large acceptance that covers almost</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
2ð azimuthally, and it has been used to investigate electron-nuclei elastic as well as</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
deep-inelastic scattering. In this talk, I will present the formalism of electron-nuclei</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
scattering and detail the recent SBS experiment to measure the electric form factor</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
of neutrons. The research and development efforts for the GEM-based radial time</div>
<div style="line-height: normal; margin: 0in 0in 0.0001pt; font-family: "Times New Roman", Times, serif; font-size: 12pt; color: rgb(0, 0, 0);">
projection chamber used in the CLAS12 BONuS experiment will also be presented. In</div>

addition, I will present a CLAS12 data analysis strategy in the deep inelastic scattering</div>

(DIS) regime to study the internal structure at the partonic level.</div>
