All Cardholders and Approving Officials,

DOE recently added office machines to the list of products which must
meet certain energy requirement before they can be purchased. For JLab,
this means that the purchase of office machines will need to be made
using the requisition process, and these machines can no longer be
purchased via the JLab P-Card.

Office machines include printers, fax machines, scanners, and all-in-one
machines. Label makers, such as Brady, Brother, and Dymo, used for item
identification or organization, are NOT considered office machines and
are still allowable p-card purchases if they cost $300 or less.

This change is effective immediately and is reflected in the
"Unauthorized and/or Restricted Item List" located at
http://www.jlab.org/div_dept/admin/business/pcard/UnauthRest.pdf .

Regards,
Dena
