[Jlab_cc] Reminder - P-Card Policy Regarding Purchase of Computer Hardware or Software

Cardholders and Approving Officials:

There have been several questions recently regarding the types of computer hardware or software which can be purchased using a p-card.  The message is to clarify JLab's policy regarding the purchase of software and computer hardware.

All computer hardware or software purchases must be approved by Computer Center staff or staff with delegated authority.  The Computer Center has identified specific hardware or software which are exempt from this policy, and have listed these items on the Computer Center webpagehttps://cc.jlab.org/purchasing.  Items must be under $500.00 AND be listed on the webpage in order to be authorized for purchase using a p-card.

Case-by-case approval for items not on the "Exception List" should be requested from Andy Kowalski.

Also, please be reminded that many of these products are available via our e-commerce system, from the vendor CDW.
