Good afternoon everyone, 
Since we have more than a few people making approved purchases at Walmart, I wanted to forward this to everyone. See below my comments 
I applied for it on line for our company. 

For other companies, whether you are ordering on line or in person, you may need to input the Tax Exempt number without the 2 dashes, this was the case for a Lowe's buy on line. There was only a designated number of spaces for entering this number. 
Hopefully you are able to get the tax exemption by submitting the Certificate I emailed you or by presenting the laminated card. Should you need assistance, let me know and I can step in and work with the company to get us set up. 
If you are emailing a completed Certificate to a vendor, please forward a copy to me and Renee Carter. We are keeping a central file for the certificates to avoid duplication of efforts.

	We've processed your request to become tax-exempt and you are now approved, effective immediately. On future orders, the sales tax is automatically removed on the final "Review and Place Order" section. Due to company policy, tax-exempt paperwork must be updated and provided every three years or as the law requires. 

Marketplace Vendor items do not apply to this tax-exempt status. If you have Marketplace orders that charge sales tax, please email the tax-exempt team at taxexempt at walmart.com with the order number. The team will provide the vendor's contact information so you can contact them directly to receive your refund of the sales tax. 

Here are some important things to remember: 

Non-Profit/Government/Educational Organizations: Orders must use organizational credit card as payment for orders to be eligible for tax exemption. NOTE: Due to our contract with Apple, no Apple products will be allowed for tax-exempt sale for public/private nonprofit educational entities. Any purchase of an Apple product will be considered personal use and not subject to a refund of sales tax. 

Resale Organizations: Merchandise must be for resale for orders to be eligible for tax exemption. Please note that orders delivered to CA, CT, FL, HI, MA, MD, MS, NY, TN and VA require additional documentation in order to be eligible for tax refunds due to drop shipment laws in those states. Some of these states will also require an additional sales tax license. If you would like to find out what is required to receive refunds in those states, please contact the tax-exempt team. NOTE: Due to our contract with Apple, no Apple products will be allowed for tax-exempt sale. Any purchase of an Apple product will be considered personal use and not subject to a refund of sales tax.
