“AI and Machine Learning in Nuclear Physic”
Torri Jeske
Jefferson Lab
Abstract
Nuclear physics experiments have always relied heavily on the analysis of large datasets and the development of sophisticated models to understand the behavior of subatomic particles. In recent years, advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) have shown great potential in improving the accuracy and efficiency of these analyses. This talk aims to provide graduate students and post docs with a brief introduction to concepts in AI and discuss the various ways it is being used in nuclear physics experiments and data analysis.
