Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the upcoming Summer Bootcamp on AI-assisted Experimental Design Optimization, targeted at senior undergraduate and early graduate students. This event is organized by the AI-Assisted Detector Design for EIC (AID(2)E) collaboration, which includes BNL, CUA, Duke, JLab, and W&M.
The bootcamp will take place from July 8 to July 19 at William & Mary. The first week will focus on lectures, with detailed content and examples available in [1] and [2]. The second week will involve hands-on research activities with the AID(2)E team, contributing to the development of the ePIC detector and potentially other experimental applications, such as experimental control, calibration, and alignment.
Our goal is to cultivate a diverse group of participants to enhance collaboration and innovation. We aim to include students from various institutions, each bringing unique perspectives to advance our objectives.
Attending the summer bootcamp is free. However, participants will be responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses. Interested students should contact cfanelli at wm.edu.
We look forward to seeing you at the bootcamp!
Best regards,
Cristiano Fanelli on behalf of AID(2)E
