[Lad_hallc] No LAD meeting March 3, 2025

Dear all,
due to the Lab Directors Q&A meeting tomorrow at the same time, the LAD meeting is cancelled.
Quick update on the progress:
* LAD: We were able to take cosmic data with the trigger logic board. One PMT is not showing signal even after replacing the base. We wil try to replace the PMT in the next days
* GEM: Obstruction problems with the beam line are solved. Further survey of the GEMs on the stand will be in the next days and then we plan to take cosmics with the GEMs on the target platform
*
Laser system is installed besides fiber splitter which will be also installed in the next days
*
Software checkout like tracking with MC ongoing. Further checks will be done with the data in the next days.

apologies for the late notice. We will not have a LAD meeting today since we will be busy with the cable installation of LAD in the hall.
Attached are some slides from Carlos about the current status of the LAD installation in the hall. One panel is in final position and the plan is to move another panel in this week after cabling.

Cable labling almost finished (two lemo bundles and some HV bundles left)

GEM cosmic testing continued, this week finalization of frame supports

Laser system on-site, installation of interlock system by JLab electronic workshop

Sanghwa still working with hcana, last push into the code:
* Added a condition to check number of GEM layers; need at least two layers to form a track
*
Remove hard-coded channel map file. Set this in a param file instead.
