Subject: Technical Coordination for LERF Installation & Removal

Dear All, 
LCLS-II has accepted JLab's proposal for using the LERF as a CM testing facility following a recent review at JLab ( https://www.jlab.org/indico/event/233/ ). Full funding for this effort is expected to be received later this month. The schedule has preparations for first cool down of a pair of LCLS-II CMs in July 2018 , and testing in multiple cycles will last for 15 to 18 months. The LERF will then be restored to its prior state. 

Kevin Jordan has accepted the role as technical lead for coordination of installation and removal activities planned to convert the LERF to a CM testing facility for LCLS-II CMs. He will be responsible for planning the work, reviewing it with stakeholders, and coordinating activities with groups providing resources. He will ensure that the full scope of work is completed in accordance with best and safe work practices through the use of the ATLis work planning system.
