Hi All,



Many of you helped the LCLS-II Cryomodules to get where they are today but may not be directly involved with the commissioning and I thought you would be interested in our progress. Yesterday, the SRF team turned on the first cryomodule (J1.3-04) in the linac at 4 K. This process went about as well as we could have expected and I’m very pleased with the progress so far. Below you can see a plot that shows each cavity being ramped up (some as high as 10 MV/m in pulsed mode!). Thank you all for all your hard work in the past that has made this possible. Seeing it come together after many years of planning and hard work is truly very exciting. I look forward to continuing to turn things on and for some of you to join us at SLAC over the next couple of months to help.
