Should be fine. All compilation and environment settings happen from /usr/local.

Likely revolves around this /home move. Any issues with /home being a link?
What I want to handle all the JLAB users is:
/s/home # LCLS
/u/home # CUE
/home -> /u/home # to be overridden for SLAC developers
