Dear science enthusiast,

The Department of Physics at the College of William & Mary is
continuing the Saturday Morning Physics lecture series aimed at a
general audience. The first Saturday Morning Physics lecture this
fall will take place on Saturday September 29:

"Neutrinos: Here, There and Everywhere" by Prof. Tricia Vahle

A little talk about next to nothing — Nature's little neutral one, the
neutrino, is the lightest and most weakly interacting of the known zoo
of particles that make up our world, but it may hold the key to
understanding our Universe. In this talk we'll explore what a neutrino
is, where they come from, how we study them, and what we hope they
will teach us.

The lecture will start at 11am in the Small Hall building at the
College of William & Mary. Admission is free, and free parking is
available in the lot along Jamestown Road.

About Saturday Morning Physics:
The topics of this lecture series are wide-ranging but maintain a
connection with physics. All lectures will be accessible to anyone
with an interest in science. The lectures will take place in the main
auditorium of the Small Hall building where the Department of Physics
is located.

Upcoming lectures:
  - October 27: PhysicsFest open house
  - December 1: "Sound All Around"
