[local physicists] APS Local Link - Hampton Roads?

Hi,

We are considering starting a Hampton Roads 'chapter' of APS Local
Links (http://www.aps.org/membership/locallinks/) to facilitate
connections between academic and industrial physicists in the area.
Are you interested in participating?

If you are not familiar with the concept of APS Local Links, they are
intended to connect industry professionals, early career physicists,
and faculty in this geographic area to facilitate networking and
career opportunities. I think with the local research centers of
NASA/JLab and the university physics departments of NSU, ODU, HU, CNU,
W&M, we should have plenty of opportunity for an interest group. In
addition, there are several spin-off companies that have sprung up in
this local physics ecosystem.

If you are interested in participating in the organizational aspects
of an APS Local Link - Hampton Roads, let me know. Since I'm pretty
plugged in to the academic community, I'm especially interested in
connections from industry.
