    RTPC contruction

Stepan gave an update on the construction of the main RTPC.

        * Two new foil assemblies are ready.
        * PCB board assembly is ready for being populated.
        * Stepan and Andrea will start gluing GEMs on the support after
          the meeting.
        * Andrea will be using a color map to label the wires instead of
attaching paper labels to make it easier to work with them.
        * Beginning of the next week the main part of the assembly of
          the RTPC will be complete.
        * There is a slight designing issues with the O-ring on the
downstream plate where a screw head might interfere preventing
the O-ring from sealing tight. Stepan did not think it will be
          difficult to deal with.
        * The divider was ordered with correct mounting hole locations.
The holes one on the one on the prototype did not have the
holes in the right place (misplaced by 1/2mm), and it was
          taped instead.
        * Stephen tested the prototype with the Neon/DME gas and got
good signals. He will run it with Helium/DME gas mixture to
compare the signal with what Bonus got with the old RTPC.
        * We have the beamline drawings, Stepan will send them to
Hovanes to be posted on wiki. Stepan already noticed some
possible mistakes on the drawing, like the target exit window
should be 15 ?m not 25 ?m . The drawing should be checked and
the feedback send to Stepan or Pete Hemler.

    Electronics upgrade

Raffaella reported on the progress with the readout electronics.

        * New crates and readout controllers are in the counting house.
        * The new firmware from CERN was tested successfully.
        * Sergey started the integration with the CLAS DAQ system and
already is able to read events. More improvements are needed.
        * At this point there is no possibility to have a multipevent
buffer and a sparcified readout list. Experts at CERN are
trying to find a solution, and they promised to get back to
Genova by the last weekend. But Raffaella still has not heard
          from them.
        * With current configuration we can read 0-size events are
          2.5kHz rate.
        * Raffaella and Stepan think that we should try to double the
number of RCUs, extending the event rate to 3.6kHz max. For
that we would need PCIS boards, RCUs, DCSs and new PCs.
        * Genova will send the new backplanes and cards to JLab. The new
crates will be assembled at JLab.

    Gas system

Hovanes gave a brief update on the gas system.

        * The design of the system is finalized. George is working on
          the layout of the components.
        * The plate for the gas panel will be cut sometimes this week.
        * Maurizio Bertoldi from FSU is here to help with the assembly
and testing of the gas panel.

    Other issues

        * Katya needs the solenoid field map in a format compatable with
Garfield, like TOSCA output format. Present collaborators were
not sure if it exists. F.-X. is apparently looking into it.
        * We also briefly discussed the issue of possible lower beam
          polarization and it's impact.
