[lqcd-users] Home file server move for JLAB lqcd cluster

This is a reminder to all lqcd users at JLab about the upcoming move of the lqcd home area to new hardware.  The change will be made on December 6th, starting at 0830 EST.

During that time jobs will not be able to run on any of the lattice cluster nodes and the qcd interactive systems will be unavailable.

The work should be finished by 1200 EST.

Subject: Home file server move for JLAB lqcd cluster

On December 6th, starting at 0900hrs we will be moving the home directories to a new file server.  During this period the home file server will be set to a read only state, and will be unavailable for brief periods as moves are made.  No jobs will be able to run on the lattice nodes during the move.

All files that are written before 0900hrs will be preserved on the new file server.

The work should be finished before 1200hrs.
