[Moller] [EXTERNAL] MOLLER PAC 49 submission

Dear MOLLER Collaborator:

Many of you are aware of the JLAB Program Advisory Committee Jeopardy process. 2021 is the year that the PAC reviews proposals approved in the 2009-11 period in Halls A and C as part of this process. MOLLER falls in the category of approved experiments that have not yet been allocated beamtime. On May 26, we were informed about the requirements from MOLLER.

1) While it is not required, you may submit a short update (10 pages maximum) that focuses on any new developments since your previous PAC approval that the PAC should consider in their new evaluation of your proposal. This optional update document will be due 8:00 a.m. EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) on Monday, June 21, 2021.  

Some of you may recall that we were approved by PAC34 and got beam time allocated by PAC37. We have produced the attached document. It is essentially a narrative that contains a condensed version of the physics motivation, recounts the history over the past 7-8 years, describes the current funding status and then briefly describes the conceptual design. PAC members will be separately given access to all the documents we made available to the CD-1 review committee. 

2) At the PAC meeting, you will be scheduled (whether you submit a written update or not) for a 10 minute presentation, followed by 10 minutes of questions/discussion. Your presentation should contain a single slide summarizing the goal and motivation of the experiment followed by up to 9 slides (no slide animation or overlays for any of the 10 slides) focused on new developments since your previous PAC approval. 

We are on the agenda from 9:10 to 9:30 on Thursday, July 22. 

The document has already been vetted by Executive Board members. If you have any concerns or discover any serious typos, please send email to us. We plan to submit the document on Saturday; the deadline is 8 am on Monday morning.
