Dear MOLLER collaborators,

We hope everybody is enjoying the New Year. We are sending an
update on recent and upcoming activities. We apologize for the
delay in this update, but things have been moving very rapidly
recently.

We and JLab management had a teleconference in mid-December with DOE
Office of Nuclear Physics. We presented a status update and they
provided encouraging comments, and the MOLLER project is likely
moving towards an unpaused state. At the beginning of this year,
JLab management has established a MOLLER project management team of
Jefferson lab staff members to update and expand the cost and
schedule estimates that were done in preparation for the Dec. 2016
Director's Review. That group has already begun working with
collaboration members who were responsible for preparing those
estimates in 2016. Over the next weeks, we plan to fine tune our
collaboration's working group structure to make the structure within
the collaboration clear as we move to the next phase, with a focus
on providing support to and liaising with the MOLLER project team;
the latter will have the ultimate responsibility for the upcoming
construction project.

As we discussed at the last collaboration meeting, a Director's
Review is likely in our near future. We have recently been told by
the laboratory to anticipate a Director's Review of MOLLER focused
on technical readiness, risk assessment, and cost of the anticipated
project in late March. We don't have further details at the moment,
but we will let you know as soon as we have more details of what we
need to prepare.

We need to set our next collaboration meeting in advance of the
likely Director's Review date and be mindful of the fact that the
PREX-CREX collaboration meeting is scheduled for Feb. 15 - 16.

This is going to be a very exciting and busy time for the
experiment, potentially leading to an even more exciting and busy
time for the next few years! We look forward to working with you
all on this.
