On Tuesday, August 18 as part of scheduled maintenance, the following changes will be made to the batch farm:</div>

<li>The end-of-life qcd12s nodes will be removed from service. Any jobs that are still running using the "centos7" tag will not run after that change. Please use "centos77" or "general".
</li><li>Back-end database servers will be restarted to make minor configuration changes for Jasmine, Auger, and Slurm. No end user impact is expected. <br>

<div><b>CVMFS and Oasis </b></div>

<div>The CERN Virtually Managed File System (CVMFS) is a software distribution system that the open science grid (OSG) provides by way of their Oasis service. Recently, the JLab virtual organization (VO) has been enabled to use Oasis. Using Oasis is easy,
simply place your files in the appropriate folder in ifarm:/scigroup/cvmfs/ and it will be published to Oasis.</div>

<div>The /scigroup/ filesystem is backed up and snapshotted. Every 4 hours files are synced to oasis and can be accessed on /cvmfs/oasis.opensciencegrid.org/jlab/ . If you do not have a directory, contact your hall’s computational coordinator to have one
created. <br>
