We are right where we need to be in terms of the maturity of the design as we go into the Director’s and then the OPA CD-1 reviews. The project team under Jim Fast has done a tremendous job pulling together the large number of documents necessary to demonstrate the maturity of the cost and schedule of the MOLLER MIE. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">One important collaboration milestone is the update of the Conceptual Design Report. Its principal content remains the same as the version in November. However, thanks to some nice editing by Steve Wood and Jim Fast, there has been significant improvement to the flow of the document in the early sections. In addition, principal authors of sections have added significant updates based on technical progress in the conceptual design over the previous nine months (the previous version had its content frozen around mid-October). You can find the updated link at:</div><div class=""><a href="https://moller.jlab.org/cgi-bin/DocDB/private/ShowDocument?docid=630" class="">https://moller.jlab.org/cgi-bin/DocDB/private/ShowDocument?docid=630</a></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">As you know, the Director’s CD-1 review takes place online next week from Tuesday thru Thursday. The draft agenda is attached. The review starts at a time that accounts for west coast reviewers. Tuesday has a plenary session and Wednesday and Thursday morning has a sequence of 3 break out session periods with four sessions each. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">At the MOLLER website <a href="https://moller.jlab.org/" class="">https://moller.jlab.org/</a> you will see a new tab on the top to the very nice new website to the MOLLER MIE project: </div><div class=""><a href="https://moller.jlab.org/moller_root/moller_project/MOLLER_Project.html" class="">https://moller.jlab.org/moller_root/moller_project/MOLLER_Project.html</a></div><div class="">You will not have access to some of the resources there but you should be able to get the main resources to the link CD-1 Review link:</div><div class=""><a href="https://moller.jlab.org/moller_root/moller_project/cd1dr/MOLLER_Aug2020_DR.html" class="">https://moller.jlab.org/moller_root/moller_project/cd1dr/MOLLER_Aug2020_DR.html</a></div><div class="">This contains the resources available to the reviewers (except the talks, which are in a separate restricted area for the moment). </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">With the Lab’s permission, we will send you the bluejeans links to the plenary session and the breakout sessions by Monday. We will follow the same protocol as we did for in-person reviews i.e. collaborators (those of you who signed the November MOLLER CDR) can listen but are not to speak or ask questions or try to answer any questions unless explicitly called upon by the speaker or by Jim, Mark or me. In addition, given that this is an online meeting, you are asked to keep your video off to reduce bandwidth and to have your audio permanently muted. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">The project team and the physics leads have all done practice talks and the final talks are being loaded today on to the reviewers’ website. Looking over all the talks, it has been amazing to see the progress on the project and we want to take this opportunity to thank all those of you who have been working hard on various technical aspects of the MOLLER design as well as those of you who have helped develop the project aspects of the MIE. It has really come together well and we are looking forward to sailing through these reviews and getting past the significant CD-1 milestone in the next couple of months. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Cheers, </div><div class="">KK and Mark</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class=""></div></body></html>
