Hello everyone,

Much progress has been made over the summer, in the development of the
integrating detector package,
both on the hardware and software (simulation) side. However many
potential problems still need to be
investigated and resolved. All of the items listed in one of my messages
earlier this year are still in need
of further work. For reference, here is my initial list:

     - simulations of background in the detector region (there has been
significant progress that needs to the discussed)
     - realistic detector design (geometries, etc.), mounting design,
and shielding, based on simulations with background
     - determination of actual detector rates (with the above accounted
for)
     - efficiency expectations for the "other" rings (e-p, inelastic,
super elastic, etc.)
     - prototype design and testing of the shower max detectors
     - prototype design and testing of the pion detectors (moved to
tracking package)
     - electronics needs for every detector (PMTs, ADCs, etc.)
     - other stuff that I am forgetting ...

With this in mind, I would like to resume our phone conferences.

Considering that people's schedules will probably have changed, I have
created a new doodle poll to select a new meeting
time. I envision continuing to have meetings every two weeks, rather
than every week. If people prefer, we can also go to
once a month instead.

Please fill the poll by this weekend.

Thanks,

Michael
