Hi Michael,
At this stage I can’t see changing the SOM selection. If you can, it would be helpful to purchase the SOMs and ADCs now. We only need enough parts for the first prototypes. I think we estimated 5 modules for initial development.

Just an FYI: I got the message below from the company we selected to buy the ADC FGPA SOMs from.

My plan is order these as soon as possible, but normally I would want to wait until there is a full review of
the board design, which I was hoping to have this summer (after the first full prototype layout is completed).

Is there a point to waiting for that, or should I just go ahead and order as soon as I can?

The situation on the electronics market has been getting more and more difficult over the last six months. Lead times from our suppliers went up steadily, soaring to over a year for critical components.

Besides the very long lead times of Xilinx FPGAs and SoCs, which we are trying to mitigate by increasing our buffer stock orders, Enclustra is faced with some component deliveries being postponed and even canceled last minute.

We are doing everything possible to meet delivery times. We are committed to communicating openly and promptly if there is any risk of delay. We are always working on improving shipping dates.
