[Moller_pion_bg] [EXTERNAL] Pion Background Meeting Friday May 6 at 3:30pm ET

Hi all,

I will not be able to attend tomorrow meeting because we have graduating 
seniors oral presentations.

Since I do not want to wait until next Friday here is an idea which come 
out of old fashioned nuclear experiments.

If you put the source in a shielding container with a narrow and long 
opening  (see the attached drawings)
you can direct the radiation at specific angles and specific positions 
and have a detailed map of
the detector response.  Blackening and everything else will be much 
easier to understand.

This is just a first thought which can be improved.
