Juliette,

I agree, for CDR let Sakbi generate plots as we need them ASAP but in the meantime, I would like to assign someone to work with Sakib to import the geometry Sakib will use for CDR in to develop branch. The critical part is to make sure we are not making any geometry errors and magnetic field errors that affect our acceptance when we transition into updated geometry in develop branch. We discussed about producing set of standard plots to compare simulation results after making geometry changes, for instance, to check rate distribution at detector plane, raster, etc. So far we have not come up with that.

As for plots and other information required, I recommend experts to come up with what's required and we can generate them.

My only concern with conf7 with the kryp cylinder is that the use of Kryptonite might come up in the review.
Dear all,

I probably won't be able to call in to the meeting tomorrow, but
Sakib will give an update on the simulation. I think we need to
update some (all?) the plots showing acceptances from the pre-CDR,
however, Sakib has not slowed down long enough to put what is the
current default geometry into the repository. So either someone
has to put a "default" geometry into the repository with the new
z=0 references and check that it is correct ASAP or Sakib
basically has to make a bunch of plots if people want updated
versions. Since most of these types of plots are in the
spectrometer section, or for the detectors, this makes sense,
because he has been making them anyway.

My suggestions are:

this group actually looks at the pre-CDR and sees which
additional plots need to be re-made, and then Sakib can make
them. There aren't that many. He will need information for
some of them (like what are the new GEM locations).

settle on the default geometry for the CDR (for those in the
know, probably conf7 with the kryp cyl to mimic the ideal
lintels and collars

what other info - rates, asyms, by particle type and sector,
also energy range? are needed for the CDR?

are there additional plots not already in the CDR that people
would like to see?

Thanks,

Juliette
