Subject: DRD1 Management Board


Dear colleagues,

 

to move forward with the next steps toward the establishment of the full DRD1 management, we would like to finalize the composition of the Management Board.

Management Board (MB) will supervise the progress of the work program along the lines defined by the CB and will prepare decisions for and will make recommendations to the CB.



The composition of the Management Board that we are proposing is the following:

(2) The Spokespersons (E. Oliveri, M. Titov, elected)
(2) CB Chair (A. Colaleo, elected) & Deputy (L. Ropelewski, appointed by CB Chair, subject to CB endorsement)
(12) Technology Representative elected by the CB (3xMPGD, 3xRPC, 3xWires & Drift Chambers, 3xTPC)
(1) Resource Coordinator,
(1) Working Groups Coordinator (B. Mandelli, appointed by Spokespersons, subject to CB endorsement)
(1) Work Packages Coordinator (P. Gasik, appointed by Spokespersons, subject to CB endorsement)
(2) Technical Coordinator & Deputy
(1) GLIMOS
(1) MB Secretary
(up to 3) Members appointed by the Spokesperson to grant proper community representation (subject to CB endorsement)





With this mail, we would like to solicit your nominations for Technology Representatives, the Resource Coordinator, the Technical Coordinator and Deputy, the GLIMOS and the MB Secretary (indicated in bold red in previous list).



TECHNOLOGY REPRESENTATIVES

Open Call for Candidates and Elections, 3 members for each technology (3x MPGD, 3x RPC, 3x Wires & Drift Chambers, 3x TPC)

Search Committee: Two Spokespersons and CB Chair

Nomination Criteria:  Any member of the collaboration can submit candidates to the Search Committee.

Voting Criteria:

·                  Each Collaboration Board (CB) Member must specify the technologies in which their Institute is involved when voting.

·                  Each CB Member can vote for a maximum of 3 candidates for each technology.

·                  CB Members are strongly encouraged to vote for technologies that are covered by the Institute they are representing.

 Timeline and Required Actions:



When FROM 19.04 12pm CEST to 03.05 12pm CEST, who: ALL DRD1 Members, what: NOMINATIONS (please nominate available candidates).

When FROM 03.05 12pm CEST to 10.05 12pm CEST, who: ALL DRD1 Members, what: CUNSULTANCY (nominations will be made public to stimulate consultations within the various technologies and communities).

When FROM 10.05 12pm CEST to 17.05 12pm CEST, who: CB Institute Representatives, what: ELECTIONS (according to criteria listed above).

Nomination Criteria:  Any member of the collaboration can submit candidates to the Spokespersons. Full-time presence at CERN is required only for the Technical Coordinator.



Timeline and Required Actions:

When FROM 19.04 12pm CEST to 03-05 12pm CEST, Who: ALL DRD1 Members, What: NOMINATION OF CANDIDATES FOR THE LISTED ROLES (please nominate available candidates).
