<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;font-family:"Arial",sans-serif;color:black">A gaseous detector seminar is planned for Wednesday 5th at 3 pm (East Coast time). A part of it will be focusing on AI and its use in our field.<br>
<br>
Torri Jeske from Jefferson Lab, who works on implementing AI into several aspects of particle accelerators, including detectors.
<br>
Torri will speak about the development and implementation of the high voltage control system for the GlueX Central Drift Chamber.
<br>
By building upon traditional operation and calibration methods, the system dynamically adjusts the high voltage to stabilize the chamber gain throughout data taking.
<br>
Consistent gain is ensured throughout the experiment without degrading the timing resolution or PID.<br>
