Hello,
Here are some issues/thoughts regarding High background levels
in the NPS calorimeter at the current setting.
Note that HMS event rates are low (ps4=0) and data rates are <<100 MBy/sec
1) How to normalize data if BCM has a large systematic at low current?
** Perhaps take short runs with calo HV off and current ~20 uA to
normalize DIS singles. This would require equal time to restabilize Calo
temps.
2) Could we run at higher pmt anode currents (e.g. factor of 2)?
** I posted some info on R4125 life time to hclog
https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/4255889
3) At present levels, or x2 higher, what is impact of background pileup on
cluster energy resolution?
** Could anyone do a quick analysis of pi0 mass resolution from the data
we are taking tonight?
** I posted a suggestion for analyzing a possible elastic electron peak in
the calorimeter in random coincidence with the hTRIG4 events in HMS
