Dear Avnish,
Great talk! Here are a few suggestions:
- Slide 4: Your fifth bullet point isn’t correct; the results shown on
slide 5 are above the resonance region.
- Slide 9: While energy distributions in calorimeters are indeed
asymmetric, I'm not aware of any Landau-like tails in timing. I'm not sure
what the origin of that might be. In any case, your blue fit in the middle
plot (Gaussian) looks better than the non-Gaussian one in the bottom plot.
We could discuss this at one of our analysis meetings.
- Slide 11: There's a typo in the definition of M_X^2 (the e' is missing).
- Slide 12: You may want to label the different colored curves in the plots.
- Slide 13: Most of the blue statements are too detailed for a talk of this
kind (e.g., “Increment sum3 until the ifstream hits end-of-file”). Also,
it’s unclear what the two histograms in the plot represent; some labels
would help.
