Dear Larry,

None of the hotels in the downtown area have rooms.  The NY State Bar Exam is being given on those dates, and all of the hotels near City Hall are booked.  Who knew that there were so many lawyers.

I have arranged for a block of 15 rooms to be held at the Courtyard Marriott in Amherst, NY, a suburb north of the city, about 5-6 miles from the college.  The website is

To reserve a room, call (866) 237-5979 and mention that this is the Canisius College Physics Conference.

There is a shuttle from the airport to the hotel.  There is no easy way to get to the college from the hotel except by car.  I can look into getting some vans from the college.
