Dear colleagues,

Thanks to everyone who nominated candidates for the CLAS
nuclear physics working group chair. This time we have three excellent
candidates for the chairmanship of the working group:

o Yordanka Ilieva (University of South Carolina)
o Kawtar Haifidi (Argonne)
o Hayk Hakobyan (University of Santa Maria)

Kevin Giovanetti kindly setup the election page for us, it is on the CLAS
database website (where we usually go to opt-in for papers). We will
now move to the voting phase
of the election. In order to vote, you need to list Nuclear Physics
Working Group as your
default working group in the CLAS membership database. The election will
be open until August 15.

Cheers,
     Hovanes.

Instructions for election of Nuclear Physics Working Group chair.

To use the CLAS database.

1. Go to the CLAS database at the address below and login to your
account by clicking on the appropriate button and entering your CUE
username and password.

https://clasweb.jlab.org/membership/phonebook.php

You should see a table with your personal information and a menu for
'CLAS Voting' and a button labeled 'GoToVote: Proceed to Voting Page'.
If you see all that go to step 2 below.

If you don't see this button, then you probably have not selected the
Nuclear Physics Working Group as your default. Go to step 3 below.

2. Click on the 'GoToVote: Proceed to Voting Page' button. You will be
presented with the list of nominees. Make your selection by clicking in
the check-box next to that person's name and THEN CLICK SUBMIT. Your
vote won't be counted without clicking submit. Select only one
candidate. If you are paranoid and want to make sure your vote was
entered, log off the CLAS database and log back in. If your vote was
successful, then there will be no votes available to you after logging
back in.

3. Check to make sure you have selected the Nuclear Physics Working
Group as your default working group in your personal information. If you
have NOT selected the Nuclear Physics Working Group as your default,
then make that selection using the drop-down menu next to 'Workgroup' in
your personal information. After making the selection, click the 'Save'
button at the bottom of your personal information (just under
'Country'). Changing your default will NOT change your status in the
other working groups.

Click on the 'GoToVote: Proceed to Voting Page' button. Go back up to
step 2 to finish the vote.

-----

If you don't use the CLAS database, then send me an email with your
selection. I will compile all the responses and announce the result next
week.
