Dear NPWG members,
Andrew Denniston, MIT graduate student in Or Hen's group, would like to submit this abstract for the next DNP meeting (see below). The deadline is July 1. Please read the abstract and send any comments directly to Andrew (awild at mit.edu).
Thanks,
Mike
Semi-inclusive nucleon knockout measurements on heavy asymmetric nuclei have been a very useful tool for measuring Short Range Correlated (SRC) pairs. While these types of studies have provided interesting results, many body nuclear systems cannot easily be related to theory. On the other hand, a study of light nuclei such as Helium-4 and Helium-3 would allow for a more accurate comparison between experiment and ab initio calculations. In this talk I will present new studies of single nucleon knockout measurements in Helium isotopes that can be calculated exactly.
