[Nuclear] [EXTERNAL] Joint Physics+Software WG Meeting & Last NPWG Monthly Meeting

I hope my message finds you healthy and well.

Please find below the invitation to attend the 2nd joint physics and
software working groups meeting, which will be held next Thursday, Dec.
10th at 8:30 AM EST. The meeting agenda and connection details are
appended below.
I hope you could make it, and feel free to suggest contributions and/or
discussion topics either to me, Marco C. (mcontalb at fe.infn.it), or
Raffaella De Vita (Raffaella.Devita at ge.infn.it).

On the other hand, I would like to get your feedback on when we shall meet
in December since last Friday will fall on the Holidays break. I am fine
with the 2nd, Dec. 11th, and 3rd, Dec. 18th, Fridays of the month.
Please drop me a line with your preferences to confirm the date.

Dear all,

the next DPANA meeting will be next week, on Thursday
December 10, at 8:30 EST, in F226 at JLab.

It will be a Physics+Software WG joint meeting, to
discuss topics of interest related to the data
reconstruction and MC status and plans.

The candidate arguments are listed in the following.
We have encouraged few volunteers to prepare material
to launch the discussion, however everybody is
welcome to present his own study/ideas on the subject.

Resolution
-----------------

SIDIS and exclusive analyses apply an ad-hoc post-process
smearing to match the data resolution. The proper way
should be to do inside GEMC. Would be nice to compare
what is now available in GEMC and what the analyzers
need.

Secondary clusters
-----------------

An investigation is ongoing on the large number of
neutrals, possibly driven by fluctuations in the
EM showers that are taken as separate clusters.
Would be nice to assess the status in data and MCs.
