[On_site_list] TEDF Groundbreaking Starts @ 9a.m. - Traffic, Pedestrian Flow Information

Please join Department of Energy and Jefferson Lab managers, local and 
state leaders, and contractors this morning at 9 a.m. for a 
groundbreaking ceremony to inaugurate construction of the Technology and 
Engineering Development Facility, or TEDF. The event will take place at 
the tent on Flag Alley (SURA Road) just west of the Test Lab (Bldg. 58) 
and the Experimental Equipment Lab (Bldg. 90).

Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. 
Standing room is available. If you plan on attending, please arrive no 
later than 8:50 a.m. Pedestrians arriving from the Accelerator Site 
after 8:50 a.m. may be directed down the sidewalk on the west side of 
the EEL. The program is expected to last 30 -- 40 minutes.

*Road Closures: From 8:30 a.m. until shortly after the program*

BCS Road and the South Connector Road will both be closed from about 
8:30 a.m. until shortly after the end of the program (around 10 a.m.). 
During this time, vehicle traffic is asked to use the North Connector 
Road (between CEBAF Center and the VARC) or Rattley Road in order to 
access the Test Lab, EEL, RadCon and CEBAF Center.

Onnes Drive and Lawrence Drive will remain open. Access to the 
Accelerator Site will remain open via Onnes Drive, right onto SURA Road 
and through the Accelerator Site entrance.

The Flag Alley section of SURA Road (from CEBAF Center Circle to BCS 
Road) will remain closed through Thursday.

A cake, punch and coffee reception in the CEBAF Center lobby will 
immediately follow the ceremony.

Courtesy of the Superconducting Radiofrequency Institute, an array of 
SRF components and niobium cavities are on display in the CEBAF Center 
lobby.
