[On_site_list] JAG Family Luau is Wednesday; 30 Volunteers Still Needed

The Jefferson Lab Activities Group's summer family luau is a free event, 
open to all lab employees, users, students, and their family members. It 
will take place from 3-6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, on the field behind 
the SURA Residence Facility.

Refreshments will include pork BBQ, hamburgers, hotdogs, chips, side 
dishes, fresh fruit, cold beverages, and special treats like snow cones.

Wear your favorite Hawaiian shirt, and come join the fun.  There will be 
a limbo contest, water rides, and craft activities for youngsters. New 
this year will be a Corn Hole Tournament.

If you haven't yet volunteered to help, please consider signing up for 
one of the remaining volunteer taskings.

The success of JAG-sponsored events depends on everyone's participation. 
Volunteering just one hour of your time to assist with set up, help with 
a contest or activity, or clean up, will go a long way toward making 
this event a success.

JAG currently has nearly 30 volunteer openings posted on its Luau 
volunteer sign up page. Individuals are needed to help with a variety of 
tasks. Sign up today; ask a co-worker to sign up with you. Volunteering 
is a great way to catch up with colleagues you haven't seen in a while 
and to meet people outside of your work area.

Volunteers will receive an email asking them to attend a short planning 
meeting in CEBAF Center at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16.

In the event of bad weather, the rain date for the luau will be Friday, 
Aug. 19.
