*The 2010 General Access RWP expired today at noon - January 10, 2011.
*
The 2011 General Access Radiological Work Permit is available for
signature.
The new 2011 General Access RWP is effective from Jan. 1-Dec. 31, 2011.
If you are a radiation worker, to retain your accelerator site access,
you must sign the new RWP immediately. To access the RWP, visit the
web-based training page and open document SAF801kd (under the subheading
"Documents"). You may access/sign this document from offsite. The JLab
web-based training page is located here:
http://www.jlab.org/div_dept/train/webbasedtraining.html
Note the following changes to the permit:
-- Release of Metal - the only metal that is now subject to the
recycling suspension is scrap metal released from radiation, high
radiation and contamination areas; metals released from other areas are
no longer subject to the restriction.
-- LCW Systems - a slight change was made to clarify that *all* piping
and components from low-conductivity water systems serving the beam
enclosure are subject to radiological clearance, not just the parts of
the systems located in the enclosure.
If you have any questions about the permit, contact Radiation Control at
876-1743 or 876-5342.
