[On_site_list] Larry Cardman Reception - Invitation

The physics community and Jefferson Lab will celebrate Larry Cardman's 
contributions to nuclear physics on Wednesday, June 8.

 From 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., a reception in Larry's honor will be held in 
the CEBAF Center atrium.

The reception is open to all JLab staff and users.

Please join us in celebrating Larry's distinguished career and to wish 
him well in his future endeavors.

Former JLab employees and many leading physicists will be on hand. Also, 
several important guests will attend, such as Tim Hallman, DOE Associate 
Director of Science for Nuclear Physics; and Dennis Kovar, retired DOE 
Associated Director of Science for High Energy Physics.

Prior to the reception, there will be a symposium in Larry's honor from 
1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the CEBAF Center auditorium. More information can

On a related note, DOE Under Secretary Steve Koonin will visit the lab 
on Monday, June 6 to participate in the annual Users Group Meeting, and 
also to tour the lab and meet with lab staff.
