[On_site_list] United Way Kickoff Picnic til 1:30pm today at Quark Cafe

Jefferson Lab's annual United Way fund-raising appeal kick off picnic 
lunch lasts until 1:30 p.m. today at Quark Cafe. The picnic menu 
includes hot dogs, hamburgers, veggie burgers, chips, sodas and bottled 
water in the CEBAF Center lobby for $1 per item. (Quark Cafe is open and 
has a variety of side dishes for purchase in the cafeteria.)

The picnic food and beverages were donated by Quark Cafe contractor, 
Eurest.  Lab leadership is serving the food. We encourage the lab 
community to take part in this event and the annual United Way campaign. 
It is a great way to give back to our community and to contribute to 
this vital community support system.

A United Way fund-raising raffle for -- each one of two 16 gigabyte 
iPad2s -- also began during lunch today. Raffle tickets are $1 each and 
tickets may be purchased at the table in the CEBAF Center lobby, from 
12-1 p.m. on workdays through Wednesday, Nov 2.

The winning ticket for each iPad2 will be drawn during the Jefferson 
Activities Group Tailgate Picnic scheduled for Nov. 2. Winners need not 
be present to win and will have until 5 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7, to claim 
their iPad2s. One iPad2 win per person.

All money collected from the picnic and the raffle will go to the United 
Way to support community services like after school programs.
