Remember: No lunch service at the Quark Cafe today. Service is scheduled 
to resume on Jan. 2

Before you depart for the holiday shutdown, please accomplish the following:

Facilities Management & Logistics asks:
- Empty refrigerators of perishable food items. (items to be discarded 
should be put in waste receptacles before 5 p.m. today.)  Kitchen and 
restroom waste receptacles will be emptied this evening and then not 
emptied again until Jan. 2.

- Turn off lights, and turn off (and if possible, unplug) unnecessary 
electronics and equipment.

- Turn off and unplug holiday decorations.

- The Copy Center asks that all printers and copy machines be turned 
off, but leave them plugged in. They've had a hard year and deserve a 
break, too!

 From the Information Technology Division:

- Central Computing (email, web, etc) will remain up throughout the 
shutdown.

- There will be a one day outage on Dec 26 of the Scientific Computing 
Systems (batch farm and HPC computing clusters).
